Like vs Love feels like unnecessary decision fatigue
#52
Not really sure what the difference between “like” and “love” is supposed to mean, and having both makes me pause and overthink which one to pick. It adds friction. I’d rather just quickly react and move on.

You should consider a service like https://buymeacoffee.com/ to make it easier for people to help support this project. Don't want to see it die away.

better original publishing date attribution
#46
Right now - when content is republished, they will show up on my feed. Sometimes, authors will republish their blog posts with very minor edits. Therefore, content will show up as being published 2 days ago, when in fact, the original content was po

Include article source's feed in the list of feeds (not just the aggregator where it was found)
#41
If an article gets picked up by an aggregator like Hacker News, I might want to subscribe to the feed of the author or original website/blog. It would be nice if that feed appeared in the Show Feeds table, even if no one on Scour is already subscrib

Making the feed more scannable with visual cues
#37
Right now, all articles in the feed look the same, which works, but I think it could be easier to scan at a glance if articles had some kind of quick identifier based on their topic. Maybe something like: - Icons/emojis next to titles – A brain for

Infinite scroll over pagination
#38
The main reason pagination is usually preferred over infinite scroll is that it provides consistency—users can return to the same page and find the same articles in the same spots. But that doesn’t really apply here because the content is always upd

Ability to exclude specific domains or topics
#33
It'd be nice to have a negative / exclusion filter. Say I'm interested in psychology, but I don't want to see anything from psychologytoday.com or anything that includes certain keywords. In the UX, it could be like when I click on dislike, it giv

Summarize button
#34
This is probably a feature for later on, but if a title caught my eye, I'd want to read a very short 2-3 sentence summary on the key points in the article before diving into the full thing. It'd be neat to have a button that shows a popover with a q

Make interest precision / fuzziness configurable
#26
Basically, sometimes I want a precise interest like "the Solid.js framework" while other times I want vague interests like "stuff that's related to CSS / web design / etc". Right now, I have "Solid.js" as an interest but it's giving me all sorts of

Priority interests
#25
It would be nice to be able to assign a priority to interests. For example: Priority 1 - Alert: Any post that matches this interest is always at the top and highlighted. For me, this would be news about projects I am or was involved in (e.g. Dassi

Support video transcripts
#28
Some of the most valuable content exists in the form of videos such as conference talks, podcasts, or live streams. This is because some of the smartest thinkers often don't have time to write a nicely polished blog post or perhaps they first menti

Personalized digest

Rather than me going and reading through articles suggested by Scour, I would be curious what an LLM-generated digest would look like. Here are my thoughts: * Instead of a boring system prompt like "summarize these articles", let's make it more pe
