Provide the original URL in the RSS feed#67

When viewing the RSS feed in a reader app it seems to only contain redirect link via scour.ing. Maybe as a premium feature offer the original URL and RSS content for the article in addition to separate up and down vote links within the article feed?

Definitely agree about having separate links to up and down vote the article. Just out of curiosity, does the redirect link break anything for you, or you just prefer the original link?

It’s not a problem for opening the content but some bookmark saving apps save scour.img as the content source. It’s more a problem with the other apps than scour.ing. thanks

It also breaks miniflux’s ability to auto download content when the URL is the scour.ing redirect and not the original URL.

I also tried to add my scour.ing feed to readwise reader and when I try to “save” an article redirect link to try and get reader to scrape the content it only gets the first couple paragraphs that is displayed on scour.ing.

Nevermind, I was mistaken, it looks like miniflux is able to grab the full content okay.

It’s just Readwise Reader that isn’t able to get the full content. Only the first paragraph is shown in the feed and when I “Save” the “View Post on Scour” it only gets the first few paragraphs. An original link would allow me to read the full content inside Reader without having to leave Reader.
