Summarize button#34

This is probably a feature for later on, but if a title caught my eye, I’d want to read a very short 2-3 sentence summary on the key points in the article before diving into the full thing. It’d be neat to have a button that shows a popover with a quick summary.

Just so it’s not too expensive, you could summarize it on the spot, only for the articles users ask summaries for.

I’m curious about whether the most helpful thing would be an AI-generated summary or just the first line or two of the article itself. What do you think?

Very rarely do I get the central claim from the first few lines. Most of these articles are there to add something or to challenge a default. What I want to get from this summary is whether their central claim is something I already thought about, am interested in, or whether they’re adding a fresh perspective.
